Welcome to the Book Recommendations space in Book Corner — your go-to place to share your favourite LGBTQ+ reads or ask the community for suggestions!
Whether you’re after a cozy WLW romance, a trans-centered fantasy epic, or books with polyamorous asexual rep — this is where the Queernook community helps each other discover the best queer literature.
What to Post Here:
- Your recommendations of books you’ve read and loved
- Requests for recs (e.g. “Looking for sapphic historical fiction with no tragic endings”)
- “If you liked X, try Y” style posts
- Themed rec lists (e.g. “10 queer books with found family”)
- Links to Queernook book entries, especially underrated gems
Rules for Posting Recommendations:
- Tag it clearly
Use tags for identities, genres, and age categories (e.g.wlw,mlm,trans,fantasy,ya,adult, etc.). - Be specific in requests
The more details you share (themes, genres, content to avoid), the better the recommendations you’ll get! - Limit to one book per rec post
If you’re spotlighting a book, give it room to shine. Lists are great too — just tag them aslist. - No spoilers in titles or without warning
Use the[spoiler]spoiler content[/spoiler]tags or the eye icon in the post editor. - No self-promo or affiliate links
Authors can share their own work in the Author’s Nook category instead. - Be kind and open-minded
We all have different tastes and queer experiences. Recommendations should be offered with care and curiosity.
Tip: If your request gets a lot of good suggestions, consider editing your post with a summary list to help future readers!
